NVIDIA and ASUS offered a delicious little tidbit in the form a 7-inch tablet that is packed with power. The tablet has very obviously been positioned against the Nook tablet and Kindle Fire since it is priced at an incredible $249… that’s around half the price of an entry level iPad. It is yet to get a name although it is believed that it will be called the EeePad Memo.

These companies have ensured that there is more to this tablet than its price. It has a quad-core Tegra 3 chip as well as Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version. This tablet also has a fifth core, called ‘Ninja’, that is what takes it far ahead of the other tabs or similar size. This Ninja core helps the device make the best use of the sophisticated Tegra 3 chip.

This is the perfect device for people who are always on the move thanks to its power and compact size. Its capabilities are so strong that this device will be perfect for playing even the most sophisticated video games on. It is also touted to have the best camera amongst all tablets. The screen should be fairly good at 1280×800 display and will be more than sufficient for reading.

This product is set to be launched in the market in the first half of 2012 although no official date has been announced. Very surprising, neither NVIDIA nor ASUS has provided many details regarding this tablet and there is quite a sense of anticipation surrounding it. After all, ASUS has always managed to surprise the market with great computers.
